God Hope Blog

We spend more time trying to be good at something rather than finding out what we’re already really good at.

What’s the craziest thing you can Believe God for?
Go after God for it.

Get excited about the future because its gonna be better. Get alive in Hope and begin to dream about what God has for you. It’s exciting. :)

If this is the first thing you see on Tumblr, or somewhere in the middle, or the last then Remember that Jesus said:

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”
—Matthew 11:28-29

You can’t connect the dots looking forward, you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that dots will somehow connect in your future.—Steve Jobs

in tandem with the previous quote, I am still trying to connect the dots to how I got to where I am now (how I found my own passion, interests, goals, and thus purpose & motivation to finish school).

Right now, I have a growing list of “If I had not come across/done [A] I would not have gotten to [B].” And I am increasingly in awe of how God designs each one of our journeys so.. intricately and unexpectedly.

- I guess this is just a heads up to whoever might be asking me how I got to where I am now. Bear with me as I try to piece things together.  :)  .. and depending on my time, I will definitely write more about the process later.

if anything, that quote + Jer. 29:11 was the core of what gave me the freedom to break from school to explore, dream, and fall in love with something that made school worth the wile.

more on this later..  :]

I just want to see more inspiring and Christian posts in my dash. Thanks! :)

Buy a blank notebook. Draw a huge heart on the cover. Don’t write anything negative in here. If you need another outlet, make a separate notebook. This one is all about love, personal growth, and getting back up. Fill it with beautiful images, reaffirming thoughts, and quotes. Write in it every day, and each day write one thing you’re grateful for in your life.

This is so true. I love it.  (via matthew-w)
There is a serial killer loose in the Church today and he must be stopped. He uses many masks, often masquerading as virtuous friends like wisdom, stewardship, thoughtfulness or peace to access the door to our souls. Yet once inside he begins to kill our dreams, paralyze our promises and derail our destiny. His name is FEAR and he is on God’s most wanted list. Many Christians harbor this violent fugitive by reducing their God given exploits to accommodate their fear. What these baffled Believers refuse to understand is that the dogs of doom stand at the doors of their destiny. There is always a strategically placed giant in our God-given promise land. When most people hear barking dogs or taunting giants they hide in the wilderness of mediocrity, perpetually wandering through slave camps like boredom, discouragement or meaningless living. It’s time to arrest this dream killer and apprehend our promises.

if you are a set free, revealed son/daughter of God, you CAN and WILL change the world in drastic ways that will blow your brains out because the Kingdom is so backwards and upside down compared to earthly reality (as of now).
